Highly recommend! I’m not a person for trying different things but I was struggling after a bad fall so I gave in with little expectation for relief. I was so right to try. I’ve been seeing Susie for several years with various (mostly horse related) injuries. Every time she has been incredibly supportive and somehow managed to put me back together. I can’t explain how bad my back has been this year but the relief I’ve had from these treatments has got me through it and back to normality. A MASSIVE THANK YOU!

About Susie

Susie an Osteopath and the Clinic Director at BACK at EASE which she started in 2010 in Towcester helpin patients recover from pain and injury. Susie graduated with a first class honors degree in Osteopathy from Oxford Brookes University and her Osteopathic training was based on evidence-based practice to keep up to date with latest research in the manual therapy and rehabilitation field to give patients the very best chance of recovery. Susie also teaches Clinical Pilates 1-1 and 7 years ago founded BACK at EASE Pilates classes and has a team of 3 excellent instructors who are Physiotherapists and Specialist Pilates instructors working with her providing small group, high quality Pilates classes in Northampton and Towcester which are perfect for those who have finished their treatment but need a little TLC whilst they get moving again.

As an Osteopath Susie uses a wide range of manual techniques, including massage, stretches, joint mobilisation, manipulation and kinesiology-taping and integrate exercise rehabilitation and Clinical Pilates principles into patient treatments and all patients receive comprehensive home exercise plans and advice using Physiotec Software Package with HD videos of their rehabilitation to their mobile or computer. Susie has done post graduate training courses in Kinesiology-taping, Whiplash Management, Advanced cervical spine and lumbar spine manipulation techniques and she’s an Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) certified Clinical Pilates instructor.

Prior to becoming an Osteopath Susie was a professional dancer and worked around the world performing in musical theatre shows mostly aboard large Cruise Ships. She attended Elmhurst Ballet School (which is now based at Birmingham Royal Ballet) and worked as a professional dancer working around the world and in London for 5 years. Over the years working as a dancer, you get many injuries and during this time, working closely with Osteopaths and Physiotherapists from the age of 16, she gained a unique insight into the journey of recovery from an injury and how working with the right team makes the recovery so much quicker and more rewarding; which sparked her interest in retraining to do the same. So she “retired!” at the age of 26 and used the bio-mechanical knowledge she’d gained as a dancer and initially trained in Personal Training and Pilates instruction before joining the Oxford Brookes BSc Osteopathy course in 2005, setting up BACK at EASE 5 years later and she’s never looked back.

Susie knows being in pain is miserable, she’s been there first hand and is passionate about helping people get out of that cycle where because it is so sore, you don’t know what to do for the best so your world gets smaller; to a positive cycle of empowering you to know what’s wrong, what we can do about it and most importantly give you the tools to be better than ever with a little information and rehabilitation.

If you know some one who would benefit from the care we can offer, please mention BACK at EASE
